“She opposes reducing any parental consent and supports the current law,” O’Brien said.
Yesterday, after being confronted with Healey’s earlier comments, O’Brien said, “She had concerns over victims of rape and incest being protected by the court. She has heard from advocates and victims’ advocates and those concerns have been met and she opposes reducing the age.”

Healey’s flip-flop on the issue is even more controversial in light of her promise made at the Republican convention to raise the age a student can drop out of school to 18 from 16.
