Letter written by O'Malley on homosexuality

We're going to have to work much harder during these times to help overcome people like Menino who mischaracterize what we're doing.

If we all had our own regarding our sexual preferences - we'd prefer to have the rules that anything that feels good and is consensual is fine and dandy. If left up to us - - we'd all "prefer" we didn't have to resist temptations, resist leading others to temptation, confess our sins when we fall to temptation, promise not to act on temptation the next time we feel our preferences calling us to act upon them.

This is a religion and it shall prevail.

At every Mass we pray that beautiful prayer before the sign of peace: “Lord…look not on our sins, but on the faith of your Church and grant us the peace and unity of your kingdom.”May God grant us that grace of peace and unity.

Lord, I am not worthy - but only say the Word and my soul shall be healed.

The other day while at Mass - I heard a prayer that the priest said right before Holy Communion...it was something like...The Blessed Virgin gave the better part of herself to the Holy Spirit and it shall not be taken away from her.
