NEW YORK - American Girl, manufacturer of a highly popular line of dolls and children's books, has become the target of conservative activists threatening a boycott unless the toy maker cuts off contributions to a youth organization that supports abortion rights and acceptance of lesbians.

"Acceptance of lesbians"?

What does that mean.

We accept they're nice folks who mean well - and who should have insurance and not be prohibited from using public facilities...just like the rest of us - but we don't accept their recruitment campaigns telling our kids what they do in bed and how it is all virtue.

Anyhow - American Girl for those of you who don't know - - is quite an expensive dolly collection. My youngest was into this for a little while...

Dolls are around 150 if I remember correctly...outfits - 50, 60 dollars a pop.

The conservatives who can afford such things - could make a significant impact on their business if they boycott. The folks they're handing out contraceptives to - and aborting their children because they "can't afford them" - can't afford the dollies either.

Let's promote the boycott, shall we?
