Democrats' Reid urges Bush to oust Rove

Blah, blah

Reid's comments were part of an effort by Democrats to broaden their political attack on the president,

What are we all doing in response when it's clear they are intensifying their attacks?

We get bolder

The Senate needs to find out if the man replacing Miers is too radical for the American people," said Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nevada.

I think we're all going to have a lot of fun.

Republicans who frowned upon Miers said Alito's selection was in keeping with Bush's promise to conservatives who helped elect him twice. "What I've been hoping for is we would get nominees with a paper trail so we can know their views," said Sen. Sam Brownback, R-Kan., a potential presidential candidate courting conservative voters.

The more obnoxious they get - the harder we fight for freedom.

We can always count on Uncle Teddie to light up the hyposcrisy:

In 1990, Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-MA) Praised Samuel Alito's "Very Distinguished Record":

Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-MA): "You [Alito] Have Obviously Had A Very Distinguished Record, And I Certainly Commend You For Long Service In The Public Interest. I Think It Is A Very Commendable Career And I Am Sure You Will Have A Successful One As A Judge." (Sen. Ted Kennedy, Committee On The Judiciary, U.S. Senate, Hearing, 4/5/90)

Now, Sen. Kennedy Says Alito Has "Troubling Record":

Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-MA): "Rather Than Selecting A Nominee For The Good Of The Nation And The Court, President Bush Has Picked A Nominee Whom He Hopes Will Stop The Massive Hemorrhaging Of Support On His Right Wing. This Is A Nomination Based On Weakness, Not On Strength." (Sen. Ted Kennedy, "Kennedy Statement On Nomination Of Judge Samuel Alito To Supreme Court," Press Release, 10/31/05)

Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-MA): "[The President] Put Forth A Nominee With A Troubling Record On The Rights And Freedoms Important To America's Families." (Sen. Ted Kennedy, "Kennedy Statement On Nomination Of Judge Samuel Alito To Supreme Court," Press Release, 10/31/05
